We run an HGV workshop with a fleet of 22 trucks. We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic person to help the qualified technicians in all aspects of maintenance and repair of our fleet. With a variety of trucks and trailers this is a good prospect to learn and help, whilst also studying at the college (the hours are based on the candidate being over 18 years of age).

What you will do in your working day

Inspecting and repairing a range of heavy vehicles, tasks to include:

• Assist with regular vehicle inspections
• Help repair damage of vehicles
• Help prepare vehicles for MOT

The training you will be getting:

• Level 3 Automotive retail – Motor Vehicle Service & Maintenance Technician (Heavy Vehicle) Apprenticeship
• Level 2 Functional Skills in English and maths if required
• One day a week for theory and practise in Langley College

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Permanent position as an HGV Technician with all the benefits of this qualified role.

• Annual wage: £25,000.00
• Working week: Monday – Friday 07.30 to 17.00 with opportunity to work overtime
• Apprenticeship level: Advanced – Level 3 (A level)
